NAM CELEBRATES ITS SILVER ANNIVERSARY

On March 16, 2017, NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation) will mark its 25th anniversary in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) business. Founded in 1992, NAM has grown exponentially over the years meeting the increased demand for its services both nationally and internationally. Headquartered in Garden City, New York, the company presently has nearly 2,500 top-tiered neutrals on its roster and administrates ADR services in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and major cities around the world. In NAM's home office State of New York, the company has six conference facilities located in Garden City, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Westchester and Buffalo, all with well-appointed conference rooms, state-of-the-art dedicated video and teleconference capabilities and high-speed Wi-Fi access.

Although alternative dispute resolution has become a permanent, trusted and well-accepted, alternative to litigation today, 25 years ago, NAM's founder and CEO, Roy Israel, spent much of his time promoting the idea of arbitration and mediation to law firms and corporate entities that had limited understanding of either forum. Mr. Israel's vision, leadership and keen insight into foreseeing current trends have contributed greatly to the acceptance of ADR as part of today's legal landscape and corporate culture. Additionally, NAM has customized and implemented highly complex employment and commercial corporate dispute resolution programs which have been vitally important to NAM's continued growth and success.

Mr. Israel stated, “I just can't believe it's been 25 years and I couldn't be prouder of all that we have accomplished. You don't get to be the #1 ADR in the U.S. without the hard work and dedication of our office staff, our neutrals and of course, our clients, who continue to put their faith and trust in us. I am so very excited and optimistic about the future of NAM as we continue to expand the services we offer.”

NAM has earned a reputation for its superb customer service and exceptional panel of arbitrators and mediators. It was named the Best ADR firm in the United States by the 2016 National Law Journal's Annual Reader Rankings Survey. The company was also ranked the #1 ADR firm by the New York Law Journal Reader Ranking Survey for the past six years. Additionally, 7 of its neutrals were named National Law Journal 2016 Alternative Dispute Resolution Champions, as part of a select group of only 48 nationwide.
