NAM IN THE NEWS: NAM SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO TWO STUDENTS ATTENDING THE STRAUS INSTITUTE OF DISPUTE RESOLUTION, PEPPERDINE UNIVERSITY

New York, NY (April 5, 2019) – NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation), one of the nation's leading providers of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services, is proud to announce that the scholarship committee at Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, one of the nation's leading educational institute for conflict resolution, has awarded two deserving students the NAM Scholarship. Scholarship recipients include Jacqueline Hantgan of Encino, CA and Lirong Ma of Calabasas, CA.

Both students are devoted to learning the skills to manage conflict and are avid supporters of the ADR process. Ms. Hantgan stated, “I am filled with gratitude to be a recipient of the NAM Scholarship. I have seen first hand how crucial dispute resolution can be to help settle matters large and small. I have been volunteering regularly in small claims court. I love going to the court and assisting parties in the mediation process.” Ms. Ma stated, “I hope to serve minority people in California after finishing my program. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community.”

The NAM Scholarship is a part of NAM's Gives Back program and was established to help make a difference in the field of ADR and the broader legal community. The program is designed to drive positive change in communities both locally and on a national scale through support of numerous local and national charitable organizations.
