NAM PRESENTS 3-PART CLE SERIES AT QUEENS COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION

Hon. Elizabeth Bonina, former Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Kings County, was the featured speaker at the first of a 3-part CLE series held on September 11th at the Queens County Bar Association. Hon. Elizabeth Bonina presented on the topic of The Basics of Alternative Dispute Resolution: Arbitration. This informative discussion covered essential issues such as when to use arbitration, the types of claims that can benefit from arbitration and the procedure for arbitrations in a private tribunal.

The second lecture in the series featured NAM panel member, Hon. Roger Rosengarten, former Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Queens County, discussing the “The Basics of Alternative Dispute Resolution: Mediation?. This CLE program held on September 18, 2014 provided insight on such topics as preparing for mediation, the obstacles to a successful mediation, why mediations work and continuing negotiations post-mediation.

The October 2, 2014 CLE entitled Basic Principles and Considerations in Med Mal Cases: Why ADR? is the third in the series. This CLE program features NAM panel member Hon. Jeffrey D. Lebowitz speaking about the nuances and intricacies of medical malpractice matters and the alternative dispute resolution options that are available to the parties and practitioners.
