February 16 2011,

Law Schools from across the country will be participating in regionals for this event that are scheduled in late February or early March. The winners of the regional competitions are invited to compete at the National Finals in conjunction with the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution's Spring Meeting.

-Regions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, after which teams are assigned to other regions based on availability. Priority for regional assignments is determined by the date the school's registration form is received. Most regional hosts have the capacity to manage 10 to 14 teams.

-Schools may enter 1 or 2 teams in the regional competition. Schools will not be allowed to change the number of teams entered in the competition after January 28th except by invitation from the ABA. If a school enters two teams, the school must field two teams at the regional competition.

The National Finals will be held on April 13-15, 2011 in Denver, Colorado. The winning team from each Region will be invited to participate in the Nationals.

All three of the NAM panel members that were asked to judge the competition were rated by the New York Law Journal as being among the best mediators within New York State. Judge DiBlasi was rated as New York State's top mediator.
