Denis F. Kelly

Highly regarded throughout the corporate finance communities, Denis F. Kelly brings more than 35 years of leadership and experience in investment banking and negotiating both public and private transactions, documents, and disputes. A longtime advocate of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Mr. Kelly draws upon his wealth of experience in negotiating complex business transactions and agreements when mediating or arbitrating in the private ADR forum, making him well-suited for his role as a neutral with NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation). With extensive mergers and acquisitions experience, Mr. Kelly has been involved in private company and family disputes helping to resolve both complex financial issues and interpersonal conflicts.

In addition to serving as a mediator and arbitrator for NAM, Mr. Kelly is a Co-Founder of Scura Partners Securities LLC, an investment banking firm. In this role, Mr. Kelly uses his deep knowledge and understanding in capital markets and corporate finance to create strategic solutions for businesses and families throughout the United States. He has also spent a great deal of his professional career providing strategic business advice to individuals and businesses alike.

Mr. Kelly currently serves on the Board of Directors of numerous publicly traded companies. Those include MSC Industrial Direct Co. Inc. (NYSE), a Long Island based distributor of metal working and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products and services, where he is chairman of the Compensation Committee as well as a member of the Audit Committee, and Weight Watchers International Inc. (NYSE), the premier wellness company in the world, where he serves as chairman of the Audit Committee. He has previously held the role of director and committee chairman of Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc. His experience as a Board member affords Mr. Kelly a unique perspective and understanding of the nuances and
complexities of corporate machinations when assisting parties to resolve complex commercial disputes.

Prior to joining Scura Partners, Mr. Kelly was Managing Director and Co-Head of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Prudential Securities Incorporated from 1993 to 2000. Earlier in his career, he served as President of Denbrook Capital Corp., a merchant banking firm and was Managing Director, of Mergers & Acquisitions for Merrill Lynch. He began his investment banking career with Lehman Brothers.

Mr. Kelly received his Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.

He is available to arbitrate and mediate cases throughout the United States.
