Seafarer/Crew-Member employment disputes

NAM’s Comprehensive Dispute Resolution Rules and Procedures, as adapted for Seafarer/Crew-Member Employment Arbitrations (the “Seafarer Rules”), detail each step of the arbitration process for employment-related disputes between a seafarer/ crewmember and a cruise line/ship owner.

The Seafarer Rules are to be used when a written employment agreement between a seafarer/crewmember and a cruise line/ship owner contains a provision for the arbitration of disputes/claims.

These rules have been designed to fairly and efficiently resolve such disputes. Of paramount importance is that our procedures ensure the integrity and neutrality of the dispute resolution forum for all parties.
