NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation), a leading provider of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services, and The Association of Corporate Counsel New York City Chapter (ACC-NYC) will present an engaging full day In-House Counsel Tool Kit CLE program, with a focus on gender diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. The event will be held on Wednesday, June 20th at Convene, 101 Park Avenue in New York, NY.

NAM's plenary session entitled, Achieving Equality for Women in the Courtroom and ADR, will feature NAM's Director of Continuing Legal Education, Stephanie J. Ball, JD. Ms. Ball will moderate and contribute to a panel discussion that will review the New York State Bar Association's (NYSBA) recent IF NOT NOW, WHEN? report, presented to and endorsed by the American Bar Association. The report, produced by a committee of prominent women attorneys, was published to foster greater female participation as litigators, adjudicators and neutrals. The issues of diversity, fairness and access to justice affect all parties in the legal profession, including in-house counsel, outside counsel and ADR professionals. The program will look at specific proposals, procedures and policies to increase participation by women and minorities in law firms, law departments and ADR.

Ms. Ball will be joined by fellow panelists Sharon M. Porcellio, Esq., Member, Schoeneck & King and a co-author of the IF NOT NOW, WHEN? report, Elizabeth Edmondson, Esq., Partner, Jenner & Block and Carrie Freed, Esq., PMI Assistant General Counsel, Global Services Inc.

Additional topics on the agenda include: Effective Inclusion Strategies for Promoting Diversity in Corporate Law Departments and Law Firms, Mind the (Gender pay) Gap and Executive Compensation – Key Issues and Avoiding Hidden Financial Impacts.
