John P. DiBlasi, J.S.C. (Ret.) has been invited by the American Bar Association (ABACLE) to present a live streaming CLE webinar, The Importance of Security and Integrity Issues Within the Virtual ADR Process. The presentation will be held virtually and open to the public on Wednesday, February 24th, 12:00 p.m.
Teleconferencing and videoconferencing are hot topics in today's environment. Legal professionals are using this form of communication now more than ever, which heightens the exposure to cybersecurity threats. Join, Judge DiBlasi, one of NAM's highly regarded neutrals, who will address ethical issues and guidelines for both the participant and the mediator; ensuring security so as to preserve privacy and confidentiality; conducting the arbitration and mediation through the use of technology; conquering fears associated with its technical aspects, and the benefits of the technology for the ADR process in the face of COVID-19 and beyond.
Judge DiBlasi will also explore the need for this technology, its many benefits and, most importantly, the simplicity of its use. More specifically:

Hon. John P. DiBlasi is the former presiding Justice of the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. During his illustrious career, he has arbitrated and mediated over 3,000 cases with an ADR practice that centers on resolving Commercial, International, Finance, Employment, Entertainment, Land Use, and Professional Malpractice matters. In 2020, Judge DiBlasi was ranked a Top Three Mediator in the United States by The National Law Journal Annual Best of Survey for the seventh straight year (#1, 4 years in a row).
