NAM is proud to be a supporter of the Emerald Association of Long Island and its One Hundred and Eightieth Annual Emerald Ball and congratulates George Freitag, Esq. on his inaugural year as President of the organization.

Mr. Freitag first got involved with the Emerald Association of Long Island several years ago through friends who were also officers. As an infant he spent time in The Angel Guardian Children's home in Brooklyn before being adopted. The Emerald Association was a generous charitable contributor to The Angel Guardian and for that reason, Mr. Freitag became involved.

The Emerald Association of Long Island has a 180 year history providing financial support to the orphans of the City of Brooklyn, initially through the Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum Society of Brooklyn, and later to all needy children in the Diocese of Brooklyn since 1957. Emerald also has the distinction of being the charitable organization with the longest running annual fundraising ball of any society of its kind in the United States.

For the second year in a row, George Freitag, Esq. was voted a Top Ten Arbitrator in the 2018 New York Law Journal Annual Reader Rankings Survey. He has been practicing law for over 20 years and is a seasoned litigator who has regularly appeared in the courtrooms of all five boroughs of New York City as well as Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties. He has extensive litigation experience and is well known and highly respected by both defense and plaintiff attorneys alike and for his zealous advocacy on behalf of his clients.

Those attending on behalf of NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation) and in support of Mr. Freitag include Jennifer Herscovici, Esq., Hon. Daniel Palmieri and Hon. Peter B. Skelos.
