Mr. Chartan has extensive experience practicing construction and real estate law. He has successfully handled matters involving breach of contract, claims for extra work, contract balance, delay, disruption and property damage, including using insurance to cover claims and lien foreclosure. Mr. Chartan has the consummate knowledge and thorough understanding of construction defect claims and has represented a wide array of clients, including owner-developers, construction managers, general contractors, sub-contractors and design professionals.

Mr. Chartan is an avid proponent of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and has participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations as a litigator. He has effectively handled cases involving multiple parties, extensive electronic and paper document production and review, depositions of executive, project personnel and experts and substantive motions.
