Hon. Peter B. Skelos is a former Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, 2nd Department and served over 21 years in the New York State judiciary. He is well-versed in the law and is a highly regarded mediator and arbitrator for NAM. He has arbitrated and mediated cases that include construction, commercial, professional liability, insurance coverage, matrimonial, medical malpractice and personal injury matters.
In 2018, for the third year in a row, Judge Skelos was voted a Top Ten Mediator by The New York Law Journal Annual Reader Rankings Survey and for the second straight year was named a National Law Journal Alternative Dispute Resolution Champion, as part of a select group of only 46 nationwide (2018, 2017). He is also a partner at Forchelli Deegan Terrana where he directs the Firm's Appellate Practice Group and is a member of the Litigation Department.
