NAM PANEL MEMBER WILLIAM M. SAVINO, ESQ. PARTICIPATES IN STATE OF THE LAW ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION

NAM is proud to announce that William M. Savino, Esq. was invited to participate in a Round Table Discussion, part of a monthly Thought Leadership Series, held by the Long Island Business News (LIBN).

Mr. Savino joined several attorneys from some of Long Island's most prestigious law firms to discuss the movement by these firms to recruit and retain top lawyers to practice on Long Island, and to improve and modernize the practice rules in the New York Courts to make New York's Commercial Division attractive to litigants and give New York the ability to compete for sophisticated commercial work.

Claude Solnik, an LIBN reporter, attended the Round Table and wrote an article following the discussion entitled “Long Island Law Firms Get Creative in Attracting Talent” and quoted Mr. Savino, “We study particular rules and try to reinvent them, modernize them and make New York State commercial division rules more inviting related to issues of cost, speed and dignity of justice.” He added that by doing so, it is an effort to “make New York the capital of the legal world and maintain its position as the legal marketplace capital.”

Mr. Savino is a partner at Rivkin Radler and a NAM neutral. He has vast legal, business and philanthropic experiences as well as leadership positions within the business community. He has served as counsel for numerous insurance companies with respect to insurance coverage claims and lawsuits ranging from intellectual property liability coverage and business torts to national environmental and primary/excess insurer disputes. He also has deep experience as counsel in class action and multi-party lawsuits involving commercial matters, underwriting, and claim procedures and has also handled matters involving municipalities and legislative bodies.

William M. Savino, Esq. is available to arbitrate and mediate cases in the New York Metro area and throughout the United States.
