NAM SPONSORS NYSBA GALA DINNER

New York, NY (January 23, 2020) – NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation), one of the nation's leading providers of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services, is proud to announce its support of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Gala Dinner as a Justice Sponsor.

In 2020, NYSBA will honor its rich history and restore its proud long-standing tradition of a gala dinner as the featured event of the Annual Meeting. This year the dinner will be held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on Thursday, January 30th.

This year's guest of honor will be United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Elena Kagan, who will receive the Gold Medal for Distinguished Service in the Law. The Gold Medal is awarded each year to a lawyer “whose qualifications include outstanding legal accomplishments, an active interest in and positive influence upon the profession, and constructive contributions in civic and community matters.” Judge Kagan is the fourth woman to serve as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

Legal luminaries that include Benjamin N. Cardozo, former Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals, and former U.S. president Dwight D. Eisenhower, all share a common bond special to the New York State Bar Association – and delivered addresses at Annual Meeting dinners. From 1877 to 1995, the Annual Dinner was the flagship event for NYSBA.

The annual meeting is expecting more than one thousand members from the legal community across the state of New York. NAM neutrals attending this prestigious event will include James W.
