NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation) has invited all plaintiff and defendant firms and insurance carriers to participate in the company's major fourth quarter settlement initiative on Friday, December 1, 2017 in its Garden City office and on Thursday, December 7, 2017 in its Manhattan office. These 2 Global Mediation Days will likely be the largest volume mediation events during the fourth quarter of 2017.
All cases heard on these days will be limited to 45 minutes of mediation time and each party will be charged a flat fee of $375.
Below are the details for both days:
- Friday, December 1, 2017 at NAM's Garden City office located at 990 Stewart Ave., First Floor, Garden City, NY 11530
- Thursday, December 7, 2017 at NAM's Manhattan office located at 122 East 42nd Street, Suite 803, New York, NY 10168
Many of NAM's top-rated Mediators will be available to facilitate the resolution of a substantial number of claims. NAM expects more than 50 plaintiff firms and multiple carriers to participate. This is an excellent opportunity for attendees to settle cases with several carriers and multiple firms in one day and at one location.
NAM's previous large-scale settlement initiatives over the past 5 years have resulted in the resolution of more than 80% of the cases mediated.
Roy Israel, President and CEO of NAM stated, “I am once again so excited about this December's initiative. Our past Global Mediation Days were tremendous successes and I am confident that we will continue to experience exceptional results this year.”
Mediators that are scheduled for these days are: Hon. Larry S. Schachner (Garden City), Hon. Peter B. Skelos (Garden City), Michael R. Rossi, Esq. (Garden City), George Freitag, Esq. (NYC) and Howard J. Kaplan, Esq. (NYC). If necessary, additional mediators may be added at a later time.
