Holland & Knight
31 West 52nd Street
New York, NY 10019
Program: 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
With the full support and commitment of the Commercial & Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association's leadership, a group of female alumnae chairs met and formed an ad hoc task force devoted to the issue of the dearth of women litigators in the courtroom and women who serve as arbitrators and mediators in complex commercial and international alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Based on the results, the task force found continued disparity and gender imbalance in the courtroom and ADR case.
Hon. Karla Moskowitz (Ret.), a former Appellate judge, has been an advocate for women attorneys and judges for decades and will share her personal experience and advocacy to the law firm of Holland & Knight, on how the needle can be moved to achieve equality in the courtroom and alternative dispute resolution for women. Judge Moskowitz recently joined NAM's esteemed panel of neutrals.
Experienced attorneys will receive 1.0 CLE credit in Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias. Newly admitted attorneys will receive 1.0 CLE credit in Ethics and Professionalism.
