If Not Now, When?
Achieving Equality for Women Attorneys in the Courtroom and in ADR

Tuesday, July 24, 2018

Goldberg Segalla
711 3rd Avenue, Suite 1900
New York, NY 10017
Program: 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

With the full support and commitment of the Commercial & Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association's (NYSBA) leadership, a group of female alumnae chairs met and formed an ad hoc task force devoted to the issue of the dearth of women litigators in the courtroom and women who serve as neutrals in complex commercial and international arbitration and mediation. Based on the survey  results, the task force found continued disparity and gender imbalance in the courtroom and in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

Hon. Karla Moskowitz, former Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, 1st Department and mediator and arbitrator for NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation), will present a CLE program entitled If Not Now, When? Achieving Equality for Women Attorneys in the Courtroom and in ADR. She has been an advocate for equality for women attorneys and judges for decades and will share her personal experiences and advocacy with the attorneys of Goulston & Storrs on how the legal community can move the needle to achieve equality in the courtroom and Alternative Dispute Resolution for women.
