NAM is pleased to announce that Richard Byrne, Esq. has been invited by Hoey King Epstein Prezioso & Marquez, house counsel for Chubb Insurance Co., to present a CLE on the subject of Risk Transfer. Mr. Byrne will be speaking about the following topics: the goal of risk transfer; the nature and examples of situational coverage; forms of risk transfer; contractual indemnity; additional insured coverage; priority of coverage; risk transfer issues at mediation; and best practices. Additionally, Mr. Byrne will discuss other issues relevant to risk transfer, including: anti-subrogation; certificates of insurance; allocation of defense costs; prosecuting vs. defending tenders; timing of declinations; choice of counsel; and prior defense costs.
